In my view an artist's role in humanity is putting ideas, thoughts and feelings into a physical form, creating a map of emotional landscapes, individual or collective.
I chose natural stone, marble & glass as my vehicle of expression. Even before I started on with mosaic I felt a spiritual attraction to stone and natural materials. May the reason be conscious or unconscious, I found myself engaged in breaking the material into smaller pieces, putting one broken piece next to another in order to create a new whole.
My greatest inspiration is nature with all its wisdom. Patterns and movement that I see in natural structures triggers my creation. I love hiking the desert collecting stones, minerals & images to take home and inspire my work.
I research ancient technique, just like in Greek or Roman times, but my work is contemporary, usually abstract, reflecting an imaginary and inner perception of material and composition.

I started my career as a make-up artist, and then earned a degree in Textile Design. I worked as a textile designer for several years until we relocated to California. I enrolled to the CCA (California Culinary Academy) where I took specialty courses in cooking. For the next several years, I co-founded a catering business and was the chef of the business. Following the birth of my third child and in my quest for artistic expression I came across mosaic art and that's my field of expertise.

In my studio I teach Mosaic and 3D sculpture technics, give lectures and workshops. My art work is regognized internationaly and was featured in magazines, art shows and galeries. I sell my art and perform private and public commissioned work.
